Why this policy exists
grewray is shared by many businesses, so the way one uses it can affect the others. This policy, part of our terms of service, sets out what the service may and may not be used for. It applies to everyone with access to a business, and the business is responsible for its people.
Lawful use only
Use grewray only for lawful business purposes, and only for data you have the right to hold. Do not use it to store or share content that is illegal, that infringes someone else's rights, or that exploits or endangers anyone, including children.
Other people's data
- Collect only the personal data your work needs, and keep it accurate.
- Have a lawful basis for it, including consent where the law requires, and a parent's or guardian's verifiable consent for a child.
- Do not store categories of data grewray is not designed for, such as full payment card numbers, government identity numbers or medical records.
Messages to your customers
- Send email and text messages only to people who expect them: your customers, about their bookings, quotes, jobs and invoices, or people who have agreed to hear from you.
- Honor every request to stop, promptly.
- Follow the laws on commercial messages where your recipients are, including, in India, the rules of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.
- Never use grewray to send bulk unsolicited messages, phishing or scams.
Respect the security of the service
- Do not probe, scan or test the security of grewray, or try to reach another business's data, except as responsible research described below.
- Do not try to get around sign-in, two-factor checks, limits or access controls.
- Do not upload malware, or overload the service with automated traffic.
- Do not copy, reverse-engineer or resell grewray except as the law allows.
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and never share one login between people.
Security research done in good faith is welcome. Report what you find privately, as our security page describes, give us reasonable time to fix it, and do not access, change or keep other people's data along the way.
Fair use
Plans include generous storage and users. We may limit an account whose use is far beyond normal for its plan, such as automated traffic or storage used as a general file archive, and we will talk to you first.
If this policy is broken
We may remove content, pause messaging, or suspend access to protect the service, other businesses or other people. We tell you first unless the risk is serious and immediate, and give you the chance to put it right. Repeated or serious breaches can end the agreement, as the terms of service set out.
Reporting misuse
If you believe grewray is being used to break this policy, for example to send you messages you never agreed to, write to hello@grewray.com. We look into every report.
